Sightseeing features
Sauerlach is an ideal starting point to explore the beautiful surroundings and the city of Munich. The nearby Bavarian state capital is known for its cultural treasures such as the Frauenkirche, Nymphenburg Palace and the German Museum. The Bavarian Oberland also has a lot to offer, including the picturesque lakes of Tegernsee and Schliersee, Neuschwanstein Castle and the stunning Alps, which invite hiking and skiing. Frauenkirche
The Frauenkirche or Church of Our Lady is located in the middle of the Old Town centre and is one of Munich’s landmarks. Marienplatz is a popular meeting point and visiting the Frauenkirche is a must for anyone on holiday in the city.
Theresienwiese
The famous Theresienwiese is the venue of the Munich Oktoberfest. Many cultural and sporting events take place there throughout the rest of the year.

Lake Starnberg

Walking
Walking around Unterhaching you will discover the Perlacher Forst, Hirschbrunnen and numerous other parks and special places. The Alps with their fantastic mountain ranges are only an hour away by car.
Cycling
The area is particularly easy to discover on a bike. Start right at the hotel and ride your e-bike comfortably through the green meadows and hills in the foothills of the Alps. Garmisch, Lenggries and Samerberg are attractive to mountain bikers.
Golfing
The Greater Munich area has a wealth of golf clubs. There are also several large golf clubs in the south. There’s even an indoor golf course for training during the winter or rainy periods nearby in Ottobrunn.
English Garden
The extensive parks in the English Garden await visitors with top-class games, sports and relaxation. Munich residents meet up in the beer garden to sunbathe or to cool off in the waters of the river Eisbach.
